My research interests centre on epistemology, philosophy of science, scientific methodology, global politics, conflict and economics.

Current questions
How decentralised is knowledge? What makes a method scientific? Where can scientific principles meaningfully guide the study of human affairs, and where might the analogy break down?
On the political side, I am interested in how institutions shape incentives, how crises become legible to political actors, and why some conflicts persist while others transform.
